Yeah they probably assume production vehicle means more than 1k per year.

All I care is that this thing sells like hot cakes and those engines go for peanuts on eBay :-)

But I mean this is Enzo power... In a ford.... From the factory with no pully kit or anything yet.

So today we learned the zl1 camaro will cost 56k and the gt500 will have 70 more hp and weigh a lot less....
Hmm

THIS MEANS WARRR.... (no seriously this is the best thing that ever happened to a gear head)
THE MUSTANG HAS MORE POWER THEN A ZR1 which means it'll hit 700hp next year.

Seriously though chevy's gonna have to make a quad cam motor someday right?

The new Lincoln design language sucks.

I can't wait to see what the new sti brings and hopefully carries over to the brz.

^Agreed and ditto the new Cadillac XTS. Looks like a tank and is a FWD based chassis with a V6 only. I guess they set their sights on Volvo, Lincoln and Acura with this new model? Because compared to comparable Audi, MB, BMW, Jaguar, Lexus or Infiniti models it is severely lacking.

^^ Maybe, but SRT8 Jenkems is pricey.

Still thinking about going to a "one vehicle" scenario. There's nothing wrong with my 4Runner or my Civic, but they're both pretty boring vehicles and I'm tired of upkeep on two vehicles with one parked outside under a tree canopy and one in the garage. I need to be able to tow ~3500 lbs on the regular and I can't seem to find a sedan other than the S60R that can make that claim. I could probably get around $20k for the two vehicles I have, so if I go to a single vehicle I'll probably try to keep it in that price range and try to be break even on it. SRT8's still seem to be in that $25k-$35k range from what I've seen.

Just thinking about simplifying things for a couple years until I can get some other stuff in order.
(Who am I kidding...If I had a spare parking spot at the house there would be an e30 beater there. )

I drove a Raptor F-150 around a little bit earlier this summer and enjoyed it. I'd be in one of those if they'd fall into the mid-$20k price range. I still haven't seen a used one anywhere near the price my buddy paid for his new and there's no way it's worth $40k-$50k+ to me.

^^ Not a fan of the SRT10 on looks or the 9MPG city rating. Plus it seems that most of them were single cab which wouldn't work for me.

Trailblazer SS versus Silverado SS is interesting. Personal preference for me is an SUV + a utility trailer over DD'ing a pickup truck. I already own a trailer with permanent plates so that makes it easier.

Somewhat. It's AMG's Black Series version of their C63.

510hp 457lb-ft 6.2 V8 (same engine as SLS, but detuned slightly)
rear seats ripped out, weight "reduced" to 3770lbs
front track widened 1.6 inches, rear track 3.1 inches
15.4 inch carbon ceramic front rotors
7 speed wet clutch automated manual transmission
fully mechanical (none of that electronic crap) rear limited slip differential with 60% lockup on accel and 50% on deccel that comes with it's own radiator
4° adjustable rear wing
manually adjustable carbon composite seats
all the exterior vents shown are functional

and God's own exhaust note (standard for any AMG with the 6.2)

Less than 100 coming to the US

^That or the M3 GTS, which isn't available in the US and costs $200k+ (and is slower than the AMG).

see you're lost in the verbiage.

Since the M devision does make the m3 it is included but since it is not the only car the m division makes the price point is moot since the m devision also make the X6m M5 etc.

Drove an AP2 S2000 today. These cars have been on my mind a bit lately and I've been toying with the idea of one even though I sort of expected to hate it. I was pleasantly surprised with the interior and that I fit comfortably. A little noisy inside for a car with a stock exhaust but trivially so. I really liked the way it drove, the transmission was great, handling great, ride great, etc. I got into it assuming it would be a bit miserable at low revs just driving around town but in that respect I thought it had plenty of power. Unfortunately, I also assumed that fully wrung out it was going to shine and I came away underwhelmed. I'm sure its a great car screaming down a windy road but there just didn't seem to be enough power there to keep me happy.

I had been after an AP1 and maybe I would like that a little better. My thinking was that the top end and higher red line would be more impressive with less torque on hand but I don't think this is the car I'm looking for.

^^overall the AP2 has more power, but some feel it's not quite as visceral as the AP1. The car has minimal sound insulation and a thin top so compared to a regular car it is noisier. It is fast enough for most people on the street and it's sharp handling is bettered by only a few cars. Where they really shine though is on the track. In my (limited) experience it is a car that can be easily driven to it's limits and will hang with much (on paper) faster cars.

don't you drive a juiced up 335 now? i don't see how anyone can get out of that and get into an S2000 and be happy with the power.

he has a turbo jetta beyond maxed out on the stock turbo and a turbo scirocco that has a good bit of power for a normal car.... but a shit ton of power for an 1800lb go-cart.
