Nevertheless, there is a story here. I was on facebook and some person who knows me or whom I know vaguely, sent a message over, then posted a status for an amber alert.

A quick check of the name and with the local PD showed no such alert under the name.

So, I then IM said friend and ask what's up. I get the number of the mom of the missing runner. I then go to a friend at WRAL.

I am telling you now. There is something big fishy about this:
