I, sadly, have to claim Taylorsville since the only highschool in Alexander county is located there. Alexander central high school, Class of 2003. Go cougars!!
But seriously there is nothing else there. A Walmart, and its a dry county. So it blows. 8/22/2011 9:22:35 PM

I lived in Hiddenite. Very close to Taylorsville. There is a Wal-mart there, and a Foodlion, oh, and an ABC store.
Totally not a dry county. You can't get liquor by the drink, but you can buy beer and wine at gas stations and the grocery store, and liquor at the ABC store.

It is a dry county, but Taylorsville is a wet city. I had no idea there were so many Alexander countians here! ACHS class of 06! 8/23/2011 10:52:43 AM

my girlfriend's parents live there, on a chicken farm. Nothing like looking into a building that houses thousands upon thousands of chickens, it was crazy. Nice quaint place out in the country though 8/23/2011 10:59:11 AM

Both my mom and dad are from there and my grandparents live there. Be prepared to live life really slow. Not much to do, but nice quiet town. 8/23/2011 12:53:45 PM
