Go in there with tupperware leave with food for a week.

hahaI don't know why I never did that honestlyI guess cause I always heard they would tend to notice stuff like that
8/24/2011 1:00:30 PM
Nalgene bottles full of sweet teaBackpack full of bananasClark was the only good dining hall. Fountain inevitably would be full of 400 pounders from Sullivan stuffing their gaping maw with 5 burgers at once. Not to mention, one of those fat guys from Sullivan lived on my floor in 2003, and turned out to have a huge kiddie porn stash.

Case 4 Life?
8/24/2011 1:07:01 PM
I feel like I missed out on so much living at UT for 2 years. Can't relate to this thread at all.
8/24/2011 1:09:17 PM
only time i ever went to UT was to pick up my Val-park decal my freshman year
8/24/2011 1:10:23 PM
Clark was closest to me so that's where I went all the time. I never really took food except a banana or ice cream cone on the way out since I had a meal plan. I went back when I was living off campus and didn't have a meal plan and my friend and I got yelled at for taking something like a bagel. The woman chased us out into the parking lot and demanded we give it back so I said, "OK, you would rather throw this bagel away and waste it?" She said yes.
8/24/2011 1:12:04 PM
^ Why didn't you put the bagel in your purse lol.
8/24/2011 1:15:46 PM
wipe your ass w/ the bagel and slam it in her face

Only time I ever set foot in Case was as a kid at basketball camp. (before UT was built)
8/24/2011 1:21:34 PM
hell in Case you could take the food to go, during the athlete dinner hoursCase was DANK, until the murphy center dining hall openedomg that was goood eatin.[Edited on August 24, 2011 at 1:22 PM. Reason : f]

I never really noticed a difference between Clark and Fountain. Never ate at Chase. Ate at UT once...it was cool, but mostly because you wouldn't have to leave the building to go eat.
8/24/2011 1:31:12 PM
i never ate at chase eitheri feel like clark had much more options and consistent product, and it was much more well lit and inviting dining.also, Omeletes.
8/24/2011 1:32:41 PM
I preferred Clark. Although Freshman year there was some loophole that allowed people who lived in Owen and Tucker to eat at Case. The first sign of athlete preference was the neatly arranged Milano cookies on silver multi tier trays.
8/24/2011 1:33:28 PM
fountain was always the dining hall of choice for us
8/24/2011 1:36:42 PM
I was always pissed off at Case because I wasn't allowed to eat there for dinner since it was restricted to tri-tower residents and NCSU athletes.
8/24/2011 1:37:40 PM
sometimes i would go into Fountain, look behind the line, and wonder how i managed to stumble upon a method road crackhouse
8/24/2011 1:39:16 PM
^^ incorrect, it's athletes only at dinner. at least it was when i lived in the tri towers.[Edited on August 24, 2011 at 1:40 PM. Reason : ^]

8/24/2011 1:41:43 PM
my story about case that i tell everyone is last year i had lunch there for nostalgia's sake, and at the bar in the middle they were doing burritos that day. richard howell was in front of me in line, and when asked what he wanted on his burrito he says "i want some meat".
8/24/2011 1:48:49 PM
Fountain was closest to meI just know after every meal, ice cream was mandatory
8/24/2011 1:50:35 PM
Case was good occasionally. Like, once a week. Can't use it too much or it'll get old.

Haters gonna hate but I loved Fountain. The food wasn't the greatest but there were always alternative options. The specials they had around Thanksgiving and Christmas were fun too. Lots of memories with old college chums in Fountain.

i don't think i could stomach case after the Shaggy incident
8/24/2011 2:53:16 PM
Hot pockets at Fountain were always good to take with. I'd get four or five and keep them in the fridge. They re-heat well.I always walked out with uneaten fruit in my hand. I always figured if they said anything I'd just say I was going to snack on it during the walk home and take a bite, but they really didn't care as far as I could tell.[Edited on August 24, 2011 at 2:55 PM. Clark during lunch was always good. Dinner though could be hit and miss.
8/24/2011 3:01:47 PM
I have yet to go to Case, and I live in the tri towers. Isn't there a restriction on when we can eat there?
8/24/2011 3:03:33 PM
We always walked out with food. Usually it was just ice cream but occasionally hamburgers or something. Only seen someone stopped when he was trying to carry out a plate.Clark for sunday brunch was good, but it was always so hard to wake up before noon Then of course the hungover walk all the way from Bragaw [Edited on August 24, 2011 at 3:24 PM. ^^^I used to live in the Tri Towers as well...and never was able to figure out the exceptions for Case, so I just never tried Maybe if you try to go they'll tell you?
8/24/2011 3:32:07 PM
The first time I ate at Clark was for breakfast after my last exam as a senior UT for the first two years was om nom nom food.
8/24/2011 4:05:13 PM
Case was 10x better than Fountain while I was at State. Clark did not exist. I'd steal fruit from Fountain on the reg. Apples and bananas mainly. Breakfast at Case was good. Also seeing Herb eating by himself in Case was amusing.[Edited on August 24, 2011 at 6:04 PM. Reason : p]
