thanks! yeah i already have the indyweek website in my bookmarks... found it when i was doing a little research on raleigh before coming here. now to just find some friends in the area to do all these things with....

haha i haven't gotten any creepy pm's and i didn't get aids while in africa... i did get malaria, but i was cured and am very healthy and disease free!

and ps i appreciate the kindness, it's hard enough being the new girl in school, let alone the new girl in the state

Don't skip out on the State Fair in October. I brought my friend from Seattle a couple years ago and he said it was the most amazing thing he's ever seen. He started taking pictures of all the mullets he could see on his phone

definitely not a club girl unless its gonna be one of those nights... mostly sports bars and dive bars. i live near the goat so i frequent there on the weekends, but i would like to find an alternative.

I like Mitch's and used to drink there a lot. Now I go to Mac's since it's closer to where I live (Cary).

If you were into the outdoorsy stuff in Seattle (which pretty much every friend I have in Seattle is) then be sure to check out Umstead, the greenway, and all of the state parks west of here.

if you want a chill place in your area to hang out and drink then I would say bada or ruckus in mission valley, both are a step up from the goat with less homeless people and prostitutes

i don't know any better!! i googled the closest bar to my house and got the goat. i went to ruckus once, but it was right before closing so i wasn't there very long
