We have made progress, but we still need to make more.
[Edited on September 10, 2019 at 10:39 AM. Reason : Can't believe capitals of many southern states are still at the bottom of the list.]

^^ My fault entirely. Disregard the $1.9 billion 40 acre megadevelopment when discussing development in that part of town. 9/10/2019 11:19:46 AM

what's interesting to me as I look through that is how much density increased compared to what I remember. interestingly, when it was 2007, I felt like Raleigh was such a big city. So much going on and activity everywhere. now, 12 years later, I feel like Raleigh is such a small with much more needed density, even when considering the residential density that has taken place east of person street and south of MLK.
I'm not sure what it is that drives this discrepancy. I can only assume it is that I am used to everything here now that it's old hat and less impressive and that I'm better traveled and have experienced and read more about what growth can do for a city. 9/19/2019 9:28:51 AM

Is it coming down cause it is in poor health, or for new development, or what?

is it possible to claim the wood from it if I had a project that I wanted to do? it would be cool to have the wood be from a piece of Raleigh that I recognize, rather than just some stuff from Capital Lumber. 9/27/2019 8:56:40 AM

I would hope that something memorable would be done with the wood. It's been that way on NC State's campus now for a while. Everything from memory benches, to small wolf keepsakes to trunk sculptures. 9/27/2019 1:38:49 PM

My impression from these animated gifs was that it looks like a lot of density has been built but there's something off about it, like you still don't really sense a "community" emerging. Just more people. I guess it takes time. 11/14/2019 1:35:34 PM

^^I mean, it's on St. Albans just a half-mile or so from the Harris Teeter in North Hills right? I'd have to imagine it's going to add more traffic at North Hills. 11/14/2019 2:28:17 PM
