i decided to give it a try...its supposed to match every song I have on my computer in the cloud, and any songs that it can't match, it sends to the cloud. Seems like a pretty cool idea..i am hoping for many of my shitty copies to be replaced with nicer iTunes versions..we'll see when its done.
it has 4756 songs left to match..

^exactly. This was just dumbasssssss's way of trying to be all "hey everybody, look at me, I'm a developer. I'm special."

This is the same idiot that made a thread when he bought a Macbook Air. Like it was some accomplishment or something.

If he had bothered to read the fine print, he'd notice that creating this thread is probably in violation of the NDA.

It found 700 song to upload for me but only uploads 1 or two then rescans, uploads another 1 or 2 repeat. Will take a ton of time at this rate, and it's <1000 songs.

yeah,,,its extremely buggy/not working

i can access a few of my songs..but the rest are greyed out and if i click one it says that it cannot find the asset for download.

I am guessing the servers are slammed right now, hopefully over the next few days it will become usable.

I love having all the free space on my iPhone now...and the quality of the cloud versions is definitely much better than most of my copies.

I was able to upload all my music. Streaming from the device is laughable at best. The track displayed as "Now Playing" does not reflect the current track being streamed, and there is a 3-5sec delay between tracks. Sucks assssss.

I thought there was no such thing as streaming. Don't you have to download it first?

the delay does suck..

if you upgrade to the newest beta that came out yesterday, match seems to work much better.

I have almost 6000 songs in my cloud now and they all work well...
once they are played on my iPhone, they are loaded onto it...if i want to get rid of it, I can delete it (but will still be able to access the cloud version)

i am expecting this to get smoother and more reliable...and I really hope they incorporate genius into the cloud...because I use the hell out of it.

Just signed up for this.

The matching/uploading takes a while, and it will hang every now and again, so you have to restart it, but it picks up where it left off.

I finished building a new computer this week, and had yet to move any music over to it. Installed iTunes, signed in, and there was my whole library, available to listen to straight from the cloud. It gives you the option to D/L songs locally to your current computer too, in case you want to have them there.

Additionally, after turning on iTunes Match on my iPhone, my whole library is available on there as well.

once i figured out how to manage it from my phone it's actually pretty dope.

however, i would like it if they would implement a feature that allows me to separate what is normally synced to my phone from what is there because of the cloud. like if i were to just throw my iphone on shuffle playing from the cloud, i would have all this stuff i might not normally prefer downloaded to my iphone sitting there taking up space.
