My story is a bleak and cautionary tale. It all began last night...
I bought a Droid 3 about a week ago. It was my first smartphone and I was as excited as a kid on Xmas morning. Root access had finally been found for the phone about 4 days earlier and I was considering rooting it since it'd get rid of all the verizon crap and was relatively painless. The phone rooted perfectly.
My next step was to run a script on the phone that stopped a lot of the bloated processes. It stopped the processes but also the motorola loader and I hadn't installed a 3rd party loader yet. So basically the phone would just stay on the boot screen forever. I felt so stupid. Still do. However, some fine gentlemen on another forum saved me from having to live with a brick. Now we are officially
Moral of the story is: Read directions and enjoy First World Problems.] 8/31/2011 3:27:58 PM

i wish techie directions were extra-detailed, some guys type out a step and don't specify some things and it can be frustrating, id rather skip through stuff i know than have to search elsewhere for more details 8/31/2011 3:30:45 PM

All the stuff I did was pretty well detailed. The specific instructions for the script I ran were inside the script and not on the forum where there was a detailed post on how to run it and what processes it would stop. 8/31/2011 3:41:56 PM
