believe it or not, sam's club makes some awesome cakes. and they are cheap too, but you gotta be a member of course.
don't buy the ones already made...have them make one for you. they are great.

we got a huge sheet cake from them that served 50-60 people and it was less than $20

If "around here" is near Lumber Town, then we have friends whose mom made our wedding cake and, it was, hands down, the best cake I've ever eaten in my life.
