It was closed yesterday and I didn't see any issue with traffic.

Its the part after 40, and I don't even travel that road, so it hasn't had an effect on my travel

Give it time The off-ramp to get onto 40 gets bad enough there in the afternoons with idiots trying to cut in at the last second. I can imagine it'll only get amplified when Aunt Myrtle doesn't realize she can't get onto TW until the last second even though there's a bajillion detour signs along the way.

Yeah I try to get out of here at 4pm or else it sucks ass. If I have to leave any later than 4:30, I just take 70 to Raleigh and get some errands done at Brier Creek before heading home. Kind of sad going up 70 to 540 is faster for getting to Cary than 147 to 40.

overall, i don't like removal of the spur going home; coming from north 147 (@cornwallis) to get to hwy 55, that spur was pretty quick if i could tell 40 to 540 was balls full.

but travelling on tw alexander TO cornwallis is pretty rad- they got rid of that 8 second stop light @ 147.

I've gotten to the point where if I'm feeling bitchy I'll ride between the two lanes. Dude had the nerve to lay his horn the other day, which caused the person behind me to scoot up to keep him from getting between us and eventually he had to come to a full stop because no one wanted to let his douche ass in. I know it accomplished nothing but it felt good I figure if someone hits me insurance will put the fault on them and my car is a pos anyway.

Yeah I looked at the map and really it won't do me any good until they finish the portion of 540 connecting to 64. Once it does that it might actually be a lot quicker for me than my current 147->40->US-1 commute.

i read online if you get the Quick Pass for the car it's actually $0.35 instead of $0.50.

i've been debating if this would be faster/easier for me to use once they get it completed out to 64. i guess it just depends how long it would take me to get to the tollway and then how many miles on the tollway to my exit (i work right off highway 55 and 40).

It's all screwing me over. When they closed the davis drive exit off 540, my commute went up by 10-15 minutes...
