Should be any day now. I can't imagine that they still need any inspections done based on how finished the place looks. 9/9/2011 12:53:22 PM |

space where fast fare used to be was renovated
they're right across the street from whatever el rodeo has rebranded itself into
flaming burrito or something
i think all of this was answered in the Hillsborough Street thread somewhere

that place is just not the best location for some reason, i guess because it's not "near" anything, by which i mean you'd never walk by it on the way to somewhere else unless you are in elementary school
it's also got a self-perpetuating problem -- no one ever talks about whatever restaurant is there, so no one goes there, and vice versa 9/12/2011 9:32:52 AM |

The acoustics in there are also all jacked up, or at least they were the last time I went there (when it was BBQ and Ribs Co. I think?) Something about the high ceilings makes the noise level really high, even when the place isn't full. To the point of it being hard to hold a conversation. 9/12/2011 12:07:12 PM |

drove by today and there was a line like half a block long of people waiting to get in at noon. 9/19/2011 1:58:42 PM |

^Really? There was a similar line when they opened the one off Kildaire in Cary, but only because they ran a promo where all the food was free for the first day. In fact I came in with a free burrito coupon planning on getting a free one for me and buying one to take home for my wife. They wouldn't even let me buy one. Very strict about everything being free that day... and limiting one per customer. 9/20/2011 9:50:45 AM |

You should probably see a doctor if you get digestive trouble from eating Taco Bell or Burger King.9/20/2011 11:02:29 AM |

what the fuck are you talking about? Not everybody eats processed cheap garbage fast food everyday. If i eat taco bell, im lucky to make it home before it feels like im being stabbed in the stomach.9/20/2011 12:54:49 PM |

Yeah, something is wrong with you. Taco bell is not hard on the digestive system. It's like baby food.

I havent had Taco Bell or BK in at least 6 months, so it isnt a problem. My stomach cant process any kind of fast food burgers or processed meats. about the only thing i can stomach is chicken that hasnt been run through a wood chipper and reformed back into "chicken"
and i dont view it as a problem. 9/20/2011 2:44:26 PM |

Their stock is way up today. Probably due to the impending opening on Hillsborough.
Also, Taco Bell is hard on everyone's digestive system. 9/20/2011 2:55:10 PM |

The factor that makes Taco Bell unique is the sugar that they add to make it more appealing. You really sound like you never eat Taco Bell.9/20/2011 3:26:32 PM |

I haven't been to Taco Bell in nearly 2 years, but prior to that my experience with Taco Bell was...extensive. Did it always give me shits? No. Did it always make me feel like shit? Yes.
In all seriousness, my first comment in this thread was a joke. Chipotle actually has good ingredients and I enjoy their food.

In what way did you feel like shit after eating Taco Bell?
It's not like I've never felt like shit after eating out... but not from TB. Did your stomach just hurt like you ate a bad fish sandwich? Or was your ass totally exploding? 9/20/2011 5:00:51 PM |

So I guess that if you have a strong stomach and you can handle food that is processed, the only possible explanation is that you are overweight. 9/20/2011 10:05:06 PM |
