I think it's mostly birds.
They're always getting tangled up in fishing line too.
One of my coworkers spent thousands of dollars on a pair of swans for her pond and one of the stupid ass things ate a fishing lure and died.

Considering there is an island in the Pacific twice the size of Texas made by plastic trash I'd wager there are plenty of things for dolphins to choose from in which to get stuck.

Maybe baby ones. The size of an adult dolphin's nose appears to be larger than the opening.

I don't rightly know. I'd imagine so given its size. I have a feeling that I read something a while back saying that it was.

[no]

the vast majority of the pollution is plastic particles suspended in the upper water column. these particles are not visible to the human eye. however, there are some isolated, but small, pockets of large debris.

What I am seeing is that it's largely plastic trash being carried by a loop current around the Pacific. How the global community can tolerate this is beyond sickening.

Yeah supposedly its plastic goo more or less... And this very same place used to be a concentration of highly nutritious biological matter; a nursery of life, now a sludgy toxic whirlpool of death.
