I was going to make a joke about Brent Barry having sex with Michelle Obama because I remembered that he won the dunk contest the same year that Glen Rice won the three point contest, which would have played off of the stereotypes that were shattered by both Brent Barry for being a white man winning the dunk contest, as well as Glen Rice's success in a typically white dominated competition. But then I did a little research and realized that Brent Barry actually won the dunk contest 1996, and Glen Rice won the three point contest the year before in '95. Then I remembered that Craig Hodges won the three point contest a few times not long before Rice, which makes the color-barrier achievement made by Mr. Rice even less noteworthy. Of course, all of this extra information strained an already frail attempt at making a color-barrier joke, but after having gone through all the effort, I still felt compelled to share.
