Relocating with the family and won't be able to bring our pets with us. We've tried to place with more immediate friends and family to no avail, and I'm hoping to find the dogs a home relatively soon. Haven't resorted to CL yet.

Lucy

Lucy is a six year old german shepherd mix. Loves to run & play frisbee, that is if you can get it back from her.

Itchy

Itchy is a ten year old dachshund, we rescued him about five years ago. Very sweet, but not nearly as good at catching squirrels as he thinks he is.

Both are up to date on vaccinations and are healthy. Are used to being mostly outdoor dogs (though they're house trained.) They're good with other animals and children, including cats.

I think she's right at or under 70. Smallish for a shepherd.

You are probably better off euthanizing Itchy than trying to find him a home. If he doesn't have an arthritic back he will soon.

Only someone completely ignorant of the situation including months of unemployment and an exhaustive search of adequate housing including the educational needs of the two young children would hop on a thread to troll with some holier than thou crap like that. I love my dogs, but in the really real world they are, in fact, just dogs.

many poor people have and take good care of their dogs too. oh and many parents take good care of their dogs as well. the fact that you aren't speaks to your character as a pet owner and a human being.
