our boss is buying us all jimmy johns for lunch today. I got the Billy Club, unwrap. Basically a sub in a lettuce wrap as I've been drinking and eating probiotics and getting rid of carbs. I wonder if itll be any good. 3/28/2014 9:11:20 AM

Don't worry about probiotics, just cut carbs. Carbs are terrible, everyone will feel better if they cut them. 3/28/2014 11:01:14 AM

a large amount of complex carbs is still not good, you'll get enough in your vegetables. 50g of carbs or less per meal is a good start, then try to get your daily total under 100g. I try to keep each meal under 30g of carbs and eat 10g of carbs between meals, at that level I feel great but am not in ketosis. It's amazing how much healthier you feel about a week after cutting carbs. My A1c hemoglobin fell from over 7% to 5% and I feel much better. 3/28/2014 11:29:21 AM

shit, i try and stay below 50g per day. Yesterday i only had like 10. Had a sandwich for lunch and a grilled chicken salad for dinner. I think 100 g a day may be excessive. ^ you dont have to completely cut them out, but i mean everything in moderation yaknow 3/28/2014 11:45:35 AM

50g is great if you want a ketogenic diet, but in my experience people tend to underestimate their portion size and forget about hidden carbs, or just can't stick with it. I did under 50g when I wanted to lose weight after college, but I started to crave carbs. At under 100g I have no cravings, I just feel healthy and don't have to worry about diabetes. Your recommended carb intake will also depend on gender and size (I'm 6'2", 180lbs, 50g of carbs probably puts me in ketosis and I don't want ketosis). 3/28/2014 11:57:41 AM

ahh that makes sense. im 5'9, 165. 50-75 is probably best for me to avoid it. I dont have cravings at that. 3/28/2014 11:59:06 AM

Neither of those are optional, but as americans, every one of us gets way to many of them.

Regardless of how you choose to eat, keep in mind that ladies love it when guys talk about their diets. I also dig dudes who have strong opinions about fashion and nitpick other women's bodies.
If I could, I'd skip men altogether and date the catty mothers who taught them how to act. 3/28/2014 10:52:23 PM

I don't count carbs per se but I try to limit them far below what the average american consumes... ive re-started this philosophy over the last month and have dropped 15 pounds (in addition to weight i've dropped over the past 3 years) without being hungry. i don't have a strict regime, but try to balance carbs, fats, and protein with most of my calories coming from protein and secondarily from fat. I'm not keto but i stay full with less total calories and feel great. 3/28/2014 11:02:06 PM
