I was told that an individual (non-dealer) can sell up to 5 cars per year in NC.

My question is, what happens if I sell more than 5? What is the penalty?

I asked the lady at the DMV downtown and her response was, "UMM, hmm, umm....I don't know...you just can't sell more than 5" NO SHIT!

I tried to search online, no luck...so I figured TWW has the answer!!!

I'm 95% sure that is true about selling property (after 5 you need a realtor license). Never heard it to be true about cars.
