You're going to need like four CDs. Or one MP3 CD. Better get to work or else you'll have to rock out to whatever the local yokels listen to. 9/29/2011 1:16:00 AM

When I was in high school CD-R's were reserved for important stuff like PS1 games.
I would have shit a brick if someone wasted my $2 blank on music instead. 9/29/2011 3:07:56 AM

I remember in high school my friends and I would burn music CDs for our road trips to Busch Gardens and the beach. I'd spend hours curating the perfect CD. Good times 9/29/2011 8:58:55 AM

I was the second person I knew to get one. 1999/2000ish. Napster was a new thing and it took like 30 minutes to download a song assuming nobody picked up the phone and you had the modem set to ignore incoming calls.

The CDs I burn will play everywhere except my car, and I can't afford the thing to hook my mp3 player up. So I have to listen to the radio, which is totally fine except when driving through W. Virginia...last time, the only CD I could find was a Percy Sledge/Ben E. King best hits album. You can only listen to "When a Man Loves a Woman"/"Stand By Me" so many times...but it turns out "Take Time to Know Her" only gets better and better:

^Invest in a FM transmitter for your ipod/mp3 player. Should cost less than 30 bucks for a basic one. Sound quality can be a touch dicey but it's better than nothing.

Me neither. The first person I knew who had one was a friend freshman year at NCSU ('98-'99). 2x, and if you dared even to touch the computer while it was burning, you usually ended up with a coaster. 10/1/2011 12:59:45 PM
