After 12 of them your farts are instantly lethal to all life in a 10 meter radius.

Ok so far I've got smelly farts, I can live with that. Anything else I should be concerned about?

I imagine the cholesterol is the only issue with eating too many.

Cut them in half and sprinkle some salt and pepper on them if you're too lazy to devil them.

My biggest fear is that if you eat too many you'll start to look like bubblebobble. Don't worry, he won't see this comment because he didn't get to be the first person to post pad in this thread.

so you have had 8 hard boiled egg whites, not 8 hard boiled eggs.

btw, the yolks are highly nutritious... shame that you are throwing them out!

^^^I can't decide if that's the easy way or if it is more involved

i think I'd rather just plop in the eggs with the shells and peel.. it saves the steps of having to crack the eggs, pour them into the eggies, then have to clean the eggies afterward

I snack on them as well. I usually boil a carton of eggs on Sunday and eat them when I want something to eat but don't want to eat a whole meal.

peeling hard-boiled eggs is extremely easy if you make them right

boil until cooked and then place immediately in ice water...this causes the egg to shrink and pull away from the shell (which does not expand or contract very easily) and makes peeling easy

I eat 2 hard boiled eggs every morning for breakfast. Here is the way I make them so they are really easy to peel.

1. Start them in cold water and bring to a rolling boil. Add some salt to the water.
2. Once you get the rolling boil, let them cook for 3 minutes
3. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 10-15 minutes in the hot water
4. Dump out the hot water and rinse the eggs with cold water until they are completely cool

It also helps if you use farm fresh eggs, or if your eggs are "older". Try to buy them at least a week before you cook them, but the older the better. I find it also helps to put them in the refrigerator overnight before peeling.

Damn, is it really that hard to peel an egg that people need all these video tips? I boil a dozen in a single pot. As soon as they hit boil, I turn off the heat and leave them covered. This saves a lot of energy because you don't have to boil them for a fixed amount of time. Just bring them to a boil and then cover them up and turn off the burner. When they cool, I put them back in the refrigerator. I eat one a day. Never have any issues with peeling. Crack it on the counter. In less than 5 seconds, it's peeled. I like mine with a little Texas Pete.

I do the start in cold water, bring to boil, cover & remove from heat trick, but after 11 minutes I move them into an icewater bath to stop the cooking. It makes them a tiny bit harder to peel than one cooked harder, but they're never overcooked that way. Just about perfect. I like a hardboiled egg but can't stand it when they are overcooked and have crumbly yolks with that weird green halo.

I am also a fan of egg salad sandwiches. And deviled eggs.

If they do stick to the shell, just peel a seam vertically from top to bottom and the shell will come off in much larger portions peeling horizontally.

Quick, easy, yummy deviled egg recipe: slice a few hardboiled eggs lengthwise and scoop yolks into ziplock baggie. Add half an avocado (more or less depending on how many eggs you're making), squirt of mustard, squeeze of lime juice, chopped parsley, and some S&P. Zip baggie, mash it all up together, snip off corner of bag, and pipe back into eggs. Yummmmmmm
