There's not any recent topics on the subject. I don't mind dropping my car off somewhere if it'll save me some money, but no one seems to want to offer a better price if I drop the car off and pay cash. No rush either, just need it done in the next month to get it inspected.

Where can I get the windshield replaced properly for cheap? I want a place that understands cash and flexible schedule.

Check with your insurance agent... if it's badly cracked, then some policies allow for one free windshield replacement every so often. If it has a few chips out of it, then they will send someone to your place to fix them for free.

I'm not going to lie and have them cover it.

???? Who said to lie about anything?? ie. My policy allows for completely free replacement if the crack is longer than the ~"length of a dollar bill" (I think 1 free replacement every 2 years) and free fixes of any chips. Without any extra cost or affect to my premiums. Doesn't matter how it happened.... I've taken advantage of it multiple times.

What is wrong with the windshield anyway?

multiple long cracks, has to be replaced and it was this way when I bought it so I won't get insurance to pay for it.

^^If you don't at least check with your insurance, you're a moron.

Some insurance companies have this as a built-in option.

Absolute vision is supposed to be here today, and it'll only cost slightly more than my insurance deductible.
