I was about to embed "Here Comes the Hotstepper" by Ini Kamoze and "Informer" by Snow but noticed that they didn't sound as housey as I had remembered.

we were discussing how some of the songs we had been listening to didn't sound like the radio versions... but those two in particular, to me, sound the same.

Needs more Nirvana and Pearl Jam if you're really going for the '90's.

Well, these aren't exactly 90's party grooves, but essentials none the less...

Can't embed either, but if someone wants to do it for me:

Hootie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aVHLL5egRY&ob=av3n

PJ: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rBBH0Equok Epic unplugged show...I recorded this to a tape & played the hell out of it back in the day.

Nirvana: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTWKbfoikeg

Blind Melon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qVPNONdF58

STP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjJL9DGU7Gg

Beck: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgSPaXgAdzE&ob=av2e

Radiohead: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFkzRNyygfk

Counting Crows: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oqAU5VxFWs

This music was so much better than the shit they call music now.

no, I'm bisexual, and closer to straight tbqh

also those weren't my favorite tracks from the '90s (get a partial idea in this thread), I just got the idea for that theme after, oddly enough, hearing a story about the return of Pop-Up Video, which notably worked its magic on the first video in the OP
