I used to work with a guy whose family was part of the Quiverful movement. It was fairly depressing to hear him talk about all his younger siblings. They had all sorts of medical maladies, ranging from being deaf, blind, having Down's, etc. One day a coworker asked him, "Do you think if your mom had stopped having kids once she crossed into advanced maternal age, she wouldn't have a bunch of kids with these medical conditions."

Some people are not meant to have children (and I mean that in a genetic way, not some "God's will" bullshit).

And as much as I think these people are crazy, they take care of their own shit and aren't leeching off anyone else to support all these kids, so more power to them.
