When you want to end a sentence with a or whatever, do you put a period after it? Do you just put in a line break? Or start a new paragraph altogether? Or maybe just let it replace the punctuation.

What if I'm messaging a female who likes both smiley faces and correct grammar? How do people do this shit?

You don't put a period after an emoticon. The emoticon, in this case, is the period.

Even chicks that insist on grammatical correctness don't give a shit about this kind of thing. You chat in all lower cases with limited punctuation.
