The best sausage I ever had was when I lived in Pender county. There was a little store near my house that made their own stuff and they would make sausage sandwiches with whatever you wanted on it.

technically they're different. Livermush has more cornmeal in it and, imo, is vastly superior to the pudding variety...you can only get real deal livermush from statesville west tho 11/17/2011 10:50:55 AM

off topic but made me think.
Why do people properly pronounce Neese's like niece but pronounce Reese's like ree-cee's.
It's Reese, it's his candy. 11/17/2011 2:44:53 PM

1 pack Neese's sausage 2 foil packs of cream cheese 1-2 can of rotel Brown meat, mix together ..........
NOM
You can always throw in some parmesan, garlic, onions while browning meat, bell peppers or substitute salsa for rotel

I make sausage gravy with Neese's all the time. I like the hot, but extra sage is good too.
The trick is to brown the sausage and put the flour on it while it's browning so the grease soaks it in. Then you mix in the milk and butter and it won't clump
I also like putting tony chechere's cajun seasoning and it tastes like Bojangle's
Wish I had a pic. My sausage gravy is boss.
