I subscribe to the following:

Runners World
Vanity Fair
Wired

But when I'm at a doctor's office or gym, I fall prey to US Weekly. Especially if there's a Kardashian on the cover. Those booties are mesmerizing.

What magazines do YOU read?

One time this guy came to my house selling magazines. I signed up for Runner's World, but never received any magazines. I'm guessing he took my money and ran. Guess I won't be buying any more magazines from guys.

Good evening Sir, my name is Steve. I come from a rough area. I used to be addicted to crack but now I am off it and trying to stay clean. That is why I am selling magazine subscriptions.

This man-child 15 y.o. knocked on my door one saturday morning, just as I was leaving, trying to sell me subscriptions with that pitch. I told him no and thanked him 3 times as he continued on his obviously memorized pitch before he got irritated and started insulting and verbally assaulting me.

LOLz

Love popular science. Used to read it when I had to for work. Now I'm stuck reading Conde Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure for work. Not as interesting, but the pics are better.

For some reason, I have been a magazine whore. My current subscriptions, in rank of favorite to "meh":

ROAD (high quality cycling magazine)
Velo (medium quality cycling magazine)
Playboy (no, I don't read it for the pictures. I have the internet for that. It is a decently written magazine)
Cyclocross Magazine (winter cycling sport)
Aviation History
Air & Space
Fine Scale Modeler (model airplanes)
Esquire
Details
GQ

On a similar note, one of my colleagues was a writer for Penthouse. I was surprised to learn they had real writers!

I always wanted a subscription to Weatherwise but it's $48 a year and it's only bi-monthly.
