I was assuming debts were negative so subtracting a debt is removing it, or actually adding even more money if you do it strictly mathematically.

But I would argue that pack_bryan is the poorest TWWer, at least intrinsically.

I must agree a misagree, in this we see - is misery.

But if we agree to disagree, then you and me live blissfully.

Add me to the list. Its hard trying to raise a family of 5 off of just my wife's $14/hr. I've been job searching like crazy.

Go deliver pizza if you have to. It's not glamorous but you'll make about $15 per hour.

WWorking for Verizon has worked out pretty well for me. Commissions sucks because you never know exactly how much you make, but it balances out and I do pretty well on top of making $8/hr.

^^ And pay a lot for gas and have to pay for daycare/babysitter for 3 kids essentially bringing home very little if any

I have no problem having to work a menial job if necessary. But I have to be able to pay for childcare and/or try to work around my wife's schedule which is a hassle

And yeah, my major was History, but I chose to go into the construction field and was doing fairly well in it until this recession. Oh well

Hmm. Every place I ever worked for had a lunch shift, a dinner rush shift, and closing shifts.

If there's no way for your wife to handle the kids for a few hours or they aren't in school during the day maybe I could better understand your opposition.

^ My oldest is in school during the day but my two younger ones are not. So I would need daycare for my two younger ones, plus after school care for my oldest.

My wife works anywhere from as early as 7am to as late as 8pm at times (plus the 20 min commute) and has a hard time predicting in advance what times she'll be working on any given day. I actually had a part-time job in the evenings a while back and they eventually asked me to quit since I had to keep calling out/rescheduling due to my wife's unreliable work schedule

Moar like, why do you have a family of 5 if you only make $14/hour
