I've heard more than one person say the new Belk logo looks like a logo for one of those discrete tampon cases.

Belk bowl means I'll be able to go to it and we make people upset about our alleged 5th place in the ACC so I prefer Belk.

I was going to say that if we do go to the Belk Bowl, I hope we don't play Pitt or Syracuse, but it looks like they will be packing their locker room during the bowl season for their move to the ACC.

Heard on the post game you can go to gopack.com and pick which bowl you want tickets for. They dont charge you till the bowl is announced. Would be a good way for us to show how many people are interested in going to a bowl.

Or through Wolfpack Club if you're a member (they sent me a link that takes you to a separate section for WPC members).

I'd selfishly want the Belk Bowl just because I'll be in NC on the 27th and could potentially go.

I wish Bojangles would have ponied up the cash for the Charlotte bowl, guess they've invested too much in Bojangles Coliseum

Bojangles? What would they call it? The Chicken and Biscuits Bowl?

Actually, I could get behind that.

Don't even bother calling it a bowl, just call it the Tailgate Special Game.

/Actually, that pretty much describes every NC State home game.

saw one projection that had Cincinnati in the game

no non-bcs bowl would schedule a rematch from a regular season game would they?

I certainly hope not.

I'll be glad when the Big Least basically dissolves... tired of playing their teams in Bowls all the time. I was at the Champs Bowl last year. Great game. Wouldn't mind playing WVU again.

I really DON'T want to play Cincy again, though.. basically any other team would be fine.

WV-MD did that one season

If we rematch and blowout Cincy, skokiaan's head would explode

Charlotte isn't great, but why does everybody have a hardon for Nashville? Wanna watch the Pack bowl then go to the Country Music Hall of Fame or something?

^ That's a good question, I've been to Nashville twice and it's pretty much boring. I mean, you can drink there, there are a lot of bars downtown... but you can drink anywhere, and I'd rather do it in a big city in a bar with a good atmosphere than in one with a bunch of wanna-be cowgirls.

I say Pack fans should want to travel to the bowl with the best payout and the most fans, which would be Belk Bowl.

I'm hoping for Charlotte. Much more affordable/economic. I can easily drive there and stay one night...or drive back after the game. Nashville is a looooong drive and I don't want to buy plane tickets for a lower tier bowl.

I think people want the Music City Bowl because we get matched with an SEC team. The prospect of playing Florida is more exciting then playing Pitt or some other big east slub.

Yes, matchups with actual fans. Getting a Pittsburgh in Charlotte is an essential home game against a team that hasn't been good in three decades.

[Edited on November 27, 2011 at 9:24 AM. Reason : WVU would be OK though, they have fans and are a legit program]

Another vote for Nashville based solely on the potential opponent. A rematch with Cincy would be such a let down.

so, I'm rooting for either Charlotte or D.C.

belk bowl, but I'd prefer nashville which is my preference because I'd have a place to stay, a guaranteed ride to the game, and I'd already be in Charlotte anyway for the holidays (and I still have wednesday off to recover and drive back to Raleigh)

Wrong. The honkey tonks are only in downtown nashville and are great if you're into that kind of thing (im not) . The gulch, 12th street and vandy area and belmont areas all have much better atmospheres. The gaylord hotel and convention center offers tons to do and there are tons of historic sites and parks to see in nashville. It truly beats the shit out of charlotte in every aspect.

People think Nashville is all country hicks but they are wrong. Its really cosmo. The honky tonks/broadway is just a vegas-scale tourist trap for country folk.

I'd rather the team play in Nashville for the competition, but if I'm going to go, I hope it's in Charlotte.
