just shows that Chris Paul is as good as Lebron and D-Howard basically.

Crazy that the bobcats preferred ray felton and sean may

While we're talking about bobcats being stupid, good job passing up Deandre Jordan. The guy is a monster.

Honestly after watching Deandre Jordan and Chris Paul i think its worth it just to boycott the Bobcats.

They didnt even try to win, fuck that franchise. Did they really think they'd win more games with Desagna Diop, Alexis Ajinca, Sean May, and Ray Felton?

Pau Gasol is really leading the Lakers right now and proving he's the best player on that team. Impressive to see. Really needed with Kobe's bad knees and decline.

Quote :
"7 (5) LA Lakers - Bynum looks like a monster so LAL will definitely improve on this ranking with him back. The Lakers have one of the worst backcourts in the league this year with a struggling Kobe and a shitty PG combo. Luckily they have one of the best frontcourts (Bynum & Gasol) and Murphy regaining form and Mcroberts playing well. Matt Barnes is playing pretty well. Metta World Peace looks completely done and I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers waived him after this season."

Please expand.

Kobe struggling? Doesn't he have 88 points in his last two games?

Ohhhhh, its just face being a fucking idiot again. Can someone just ban him already?

With Kobe struggling I'm just glad they have Josh McRoberts to make up for it more than anything else.

Um, check the date/timestamp.

I wrote that when he was struggling, not after these last two games.

Anyone else noticed that john wall sucks this year?

Kyrie Irving is making john wall look like Ryan harrow

to be fair, Wall has Andray Blatche, Nick Young, and JaVale McGee starting next to him

the team play of the Wizards is so bad it makes the Kings look like Hickory High

no, but at least those guys are actual professionals who know how to play team ball

Wall is surrounded by a bunch of no defense playing chuckers

Riiight. It couldn't be that Irving is just a much better player than wall.

Are his teammates asking him to miss every shot he takes?

taking an absolute stand on how good a 21 year old player is a dozen games into a season with no training camp and an abbreviated schedule is shortsighted, at best

the tendency of fans to anoint or kill a player on a game to game basis is one of the saddest aspects of sports culture

how about a season to season basis?

You don't honestly believe that for the 2011/2012 NBA season that John Wall is better than Kyrie Irving, do you???

i'm aware that statistically Irving grades out (significantly) better, however, if i were a GM and they were both in the draft, at this moment, i'd eagerly take Wall. his physical gifts are too impressive to give up on. and i know i'm not alone. if there were a Wall for Irving trade on the table, who walks away first? i'd bet the house that it ain't the Cavs.

one guy was mediocre in college and had a mediocre rookie year and a terrible (thus far) sophomore campaign.

the other guy was outstanding in college, is having a huge rookie season...

I don't think you're correct here but then again I'm basing this on measurable statistics, so maybe if we throw in a lot of unknown quantities my argument loses weight

eh, i watch nearly every kentucky game every year and Wall was the best player on that team (Cousins was a monster, too). a team, by the way, that was a ridiculous 3-pt barrage from West Virginia away from going to the final 4.

Irving played less than a dozen games in college. did he even get to conference play?

so the college thing is tough to use for a comparison.

i'll admit that as a kentucky fan i could be biased towards Wall. that surely could be cause to question my judgment, but i try to be objective. the dude averaged 16 and 8 as a 20 year old rookie for one of the most dysfunctional teams in the history of the league. that's an uncommon enough achievement to deserve more praise than "mediocre." but i'm not in the Cavs or Wizards locker room and i don't watch either of their games too much and i don't have psychic powers, so its impossible for me to claim who is definitively the better player, or who will surely have the better career going forward. ultimately, i side with Wall for now because his physical tools are so impressive. i don't think i ever saw a college PG (certainly not a freshman) who was as fast and as effective defensively as him.

my biggest qualm with your stance, and most of the stances i read you taking, is the tendency to speak in absolutes. you're clearly knowledgeable. i'd figure that help you give more nuanced takes on things, rather than lean towards the blowhard certainty of the random dope at a sports bar.

17 ppg, 3.1 reb, 5.1 ast, 0.8 stl, 0.5 blk, 3.3 to, in only 27 minutes per game with .473/.400/.892 shooting (FG/3PT/FT)

vs.

13.3 ppg, 4.6reb, 7.1 ast, 1.3 stl, 1.0 blk, 4.2 to in 36.7 minutes per game with .348/.000/.735 shooting (FG/3PT/FT)

So the difference in rebounds and assists can mostlbe explained by their minutes differential. The steals and block difference show Wall is slightly more gifted in terms of size/athleticism.

The shooting numbers suggest one is highly more effective than the other.

it might be entertaining if the celtics totally blow up their team, garnett only about 60% could still be really useful to a team like OKC and ray allen doesn't seem to have aged all that much at all

what can you get back for those guys, though? i think both their (and Pierce's, for that matter) expire after this season, so unless they can get back some quality young/cheap talent, it makes more sense to just roll through this season, let them walk and try to make something happen with the massive cap space created by their departure.

Miami can make a statement today. They should beat a Deng-less Hamilton-less team by double digits.

I guess the John Wall vs Kyrie Irving argument is dead.

Irving is an absolute monster. What a superstar he is becoming, he might be better than Rose in a few years.

Here's a name, Larry Bird, the inventor of the slam dunk. That's a signature white move. Look it up.
