Nope, pretty sure that this, just like all "reality" TV is 100% scripted. It very well may have been their first kiss, but they were instructed to, and subsequently did ham it up big time.

I mean maybe, maybe if it were "adverting your eyes and never witnessing a kiss in your entire lifetime before waiting to kiss until your wedding day." If they had ever seen their parents kiss or even some actors kiss on a movie it wouldn't turn out that bad. Who's first kiss was that stupid? Of course it just goes back to the nature of all reality TV shows. Reality shows are scripted and all drama, comedy, etc. is manufactured and directed, not the result of filming natural occurrences. I guess that's what separates reality TV from documentaries though.

The thread did remind me of a rather unintentionally humorous made for TV movie I saw about 10 years ago about a couple that wanted to wait until marriage to even kiss. All this drama about waiting involving the parents, etc., etc. and these actors were well into their 30s. I get the sentiment, the show is about maintaining standards and keeping your virtue, I appreciate that. I'm sure the angle is that kissing is the slippery slope (pun?) so best to avoid it, but man that show was crazy.

I actually shot a wedding where their first kiss was their wedding.

Their kiss looked very scripted. and when I saw the preview for the 1st time I thought it was a joke.

wow. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this thread.

One of my friends re-took a vow of celibacy in college after he hooked up with some girl that he wished he wouldn't have or something. He also had a near-death experience and bit the Bible bullet super hard. He's now 25 and just started dating some girl from his uber-fundamentalist church that is ginger, 18, home schooled her whole life, and has braces. LOL. if that wasn't enough, she won't kiss him until their engaged, and obviously won't have sex until marriage then either. For some reason my friend is head over heels for this lame girl (equally fundamentalist-judgemental) and they're going to wait 5 years until she graduates, at minimum, TO KISS. it's unbelievable.

The oldest Duggar kid (you know the family that has 19 kids) got engaged to his current wife w/o ever dating her. In their eyes, when you get engaged, that is when you can "court".

Neither of them had ever kissed anybody and were not going to kiss each other until their first kiss as man and wife.

And no frontal hugs. Only side hugs.
