Just curious on what you guys think of the girls who stand there, dressed all sexy and hand out info at those trade show booths or different things like that...(i.e. She's just there to look hot and there are other people on hand with actual product information)

I think it's fun to ask them difficult questions about the product. I also think it's fun to accuse them of having no scruples because they endorse a product they don't personally use.

I've done a bunch of promotional modeling.... the girls aren't always the brightest candles, but are usually really sweet and outgoing people. It's a really fun gig, as long as you have a decent grasp on whatever beer/ furniture fabric/ comic book shop or whatever you are promoting and don't mind talking to people. Usually you are giving out free stuff so people are receptive.

I was a booth babe at Megacon one afternoon when I was 19 and it was eye opening. Even though I played video games and was comfortable with nerdspeak I sure didn't know much about the comic books I was pushing and sort of just fell back on the "Lets take a picture" bit when people asked too many questions. (I would be a much more awesome bb now. Infinite Crisis got me hooked)

I'm actually working on a documentary on booth babes (and other girls that attend conventions) that I'm shooting next DragonCon. There are a lot of sides to it...
