all of my pillows are real pillows, non of that fake decorative shit that you showcase, then store away when its bedtime. My fav pillow right now is a curved memory foam pillow. I swear, I slept 26 hours the first night I used it and had the most fantastical dream of me being a fucking badass viking that clubbed polar bears. I think the polar bears were other pillows since I woke up and 4 of them were across the room.

We sleep with 4 and there are 3 decorative (2 are regular pillows covered with a sham that matches the comforter and one actual throw pillow). The guest room has 4 pillows as well for sleeping, but 5 decorative throw pillows.
