looking for a replacement for my mother-in-law's computer...she has a 40GB in there that isn't even close to full, so it doesn't matter if it's a lower capacity, i just want it to be in good condition so it won't die on her (since i'm not really that close and can't help her out if it goes bad)

it can be IDE if it's a newer drive, but i don't want any old crappy IDE drives (i have plenty of those already )

lower price the better
