I have a top 5 last name and they charged me for 15 beers (7 of which were my party's) and refused to furnish a receipt. So I basically got fucked out of $24+ and was treated extremely rudely. And they admitted there were other parties with the same last name.

I would rather pay the tab than be the drunk dumbass in the bar holding up other peoples service, no matter what happens the sober bartender is going to be more credible than the drunk patron. I could just be naive here, but how do you refuse to pay the tab when the bar has your card? I can see not signing the stub, but I imagine the bar already swiped your card, and could just run with it as a "guy left his card here, we paid the tab plus a 50% tip" or whatever it is they do.

I guess you could just say "leave it open" give the card back to the bartender, and then promptly call and report your card lost on the way out the door. Would b3 3-5 business days with no card however.
