i guess you could take that 2 ways

1. there is nc state shit, like what happens to us in most sporting events.
2. there is the clothing, gear and other forms of memorabilia

i get a lot of #2 every year to the point i have to ask my family to just stop

I've started strategically leaving them places that I'm likely to get cold. I have one in my office, one in the car... it's pretty absurd. I should probably re-purpose some of them or donate the ones I don't like as much.

I only get #2 if I ask for it. I'm pretty picky with my State gear...so when I find something I like, I send the link to my mom/sister.

Except for christmas ornaments...my mom likes to get me NC State ornaments.

My Dad usually goes through his old stuff and gives me something every year. I've got early 60's era jackets, blankets, Agromecks, a trucker-style 'National Champions' hat, a English-to-metric ruler with the 1973 team listed in meters and kilograms, a few 1963 gym shirts.

So on and so forth. We both like em because they're
A) State stuff
B) He didn't have to go out shopping, and I didn't get some random crap
C) less crap cluttering up his basement.

Last year was the 1st year that my parents got me anything NC State related for Christmas

pretty awesome calendar. 12 historic football program covers. Each one was preforated so you could pull it out and frame it if you wanted. Got lots of compliments on the calendar (put it up in my office)



Those I have never worn. My mom got my husband a pair of Duke ones. Both are sitting on a shelf in our closet.

The only #2 I've received as a gift was a hoodie from my brother when I decided I was going there after high school. I wear that thing all the time too.

I'd love to get some ncsu ornaments one year.

I wouldn't mind getting #1 for the sake of bantering, but people here think NCSU = UNC. It's so frustrating

Occasionally we get an NCSU gift. Once was one of those yard flags with a pinwheel. Our dog HATED it!
I've gotten an ornament once: an ncsu cheerleader snowman.

I wouldn't mind another car flag or a new hoodie as I only have two and the zipper just broke on one of em. Actually...I'd like a non zip NCSU hoodie. But I already asked my brother in law for a hoodie his work sooooo, I'm prolly maxed out on hoodies this year.

This thread has made me realize I don't own a single hoodie. Mainly because I don't like jackets/coats that I have to pull on/off over my head.

Maybe I should ask for an NCSU zip-up hoodie for Christmas as I also no longer have any NCSU clothing at all. Nobody has ever bought me any NCSU stuff.

Yeah I get a lot of NC State stuff. Most of my dad's side of the family went to State, or is at least big State fans. So when a new book about State basketball history or something comes out, pretty much everyone gets a copy. As for clothes, I don't mind getting State shirts, I can always wear those.

i just got the 2012 version of that calendar. i love it... it has me looking on ebay for the real programs (i hate framing prints for some reason). but slim pickin's

i have a lot of ncsu stuff, but the people that get it for me are generally tasteful with it. the only thing i really _want_ now is a red football helmet, though i have no idea what i'd actually do with it

You'd never know I went to NC State by looking around my house. The only thing I have is a Tshirt and it's got a hole in it so I don't wear it.
