Good day in the summer league yesterday. Lorenzo Brown had 17 points and 8 assists with the Clippers. Announcers were giving him a lot of praise. Warren had 22 points in 23 minutes with the Suns

He was earlier.

Oh, I see he got a cut over his eye and missed most of the game. Oh well.

I find it hilarious that TBDV actually is on a summer roster. I think I saw on twitter that he actually got some minutes yesterday or today though.

^^^^I don't know if you're joking or not...but Ced Simmons did play in 75 NBA games. While nothing he did was all that impressive, I'd be pretty shocked if Vandy managed to play in that many NBA (if any) NBA games.

And I don't mean to disrespect Vandy at all...I'm just not sure I see him having any kind of NBA career other than D League.

I'd love to be wrong...but I don't see it happening

Stats from some of our guys yesterday:

Fells: 19 points in 20 minutes on 6/11 shooting (4/8 3PT) 5 rebounds 2 blocks (+/- was -2). team lost 88-86. I'm starting to watch the replay of this one now, doesn't look like he even started the game. yeah, he checked in at around 4:15 in the 1st, and drilled a 3 within 20 seconds of being on the floor.

Brown: 22 points in 27 minutes on 7/13 shooting (2/4 3PT) 3 rebounds 4 assists 6 fouls (+/- was +25). scored at least 13 in the final 6-7 minutes and carried team to 91-85 win. Zo got in terrible foul trouble early, as the refs were whistling every minor contact. He had 3 fouls in the first quarter. Nice job putting up those numbers with such foul trouble.

Williams: 9 points in 23 minutes on 4/7 shooting (1/1 3PT) 3 rebounds 1 block (+/- was -20). team lost 87-71

Vandenberg: 4 points in 11 minutes on 2/4 shooting 2 rebounds 1 assist (+/- was +1). team won 95-72. glad to see he saw the floor a bit.

I might have missed somebody, but that was all the state guys I noticed last night. I think TJ plays again tonight at 8pm (at least, I'd expect him to play).

Vandy didn't get to play in the first couple games. Wood had been playing for the Lakers, but didn't really do much at all in those opportunities and ended up not seeing the floor last night. Hopefully Scott gets another chance this summer, I still think he has a chance to eventually find a roster as a situational sharpshooter. Might take a few years though.

i'm pretty sure he left (not cut) because he knew hr wouldn't get much PT behind Tracy Smith, Richard Howell, CJ Leslie, Deshawn Painter, Vandenburg, Williams, Thomas and Wood. And at the time, it made sense that he wouldn't. He was raw, and it was in his best interest to go play for a scrub team in a shitty conference to polish his game (and have fun in New Orleans). And it worked out for him.

He's a good fit for a Phil Jackson team.

He could be a modern day Bill Wennington.
