Right now it's undergoing a facelift, mostly light fixture replacements and facade painting/updates. They received a budget of around $180 million to make it "the next north hills" circa 2007, but with all the financial crises, that budget was cut. It is my understanding they will still follow through with the original plans, but will take much longer to complete this multi-phase project.

They were supposed to renovate it to be like North Hills a LONG time ago (few years) and the economy tanked

so its been a super slow process

I have many memories of playing around that fountain and on the escalators there. also making out with middle school girls in the theater. Pie Works was the shit, as was Chi-Chi's.
