A blue sweater and a picture frame...

Money is very tight in my family at the moment...and the picture frame came from the SO (only been dating a few weeks not really getting huge gifts for each other)

So I got to play the "my gift is my family" card...which is great, I'm very happy to have my family with me, but we have gone through probably the most stressful year of our collective lives and somehow the emptiness under the christmas tree was more symbolic than anything else. Last night my mom sent me a picture of our cat lying under the tree. The tree had no gifts under it. I haven't cried that hard in a long time...I didn't care that I wasn't getting any gifts, I didn't want anything. I cared about what the lack of gifts symbolized. That picture sent a waves of emotions into my system which instantly overflowed and I couldn't hold back anymore.

The wave hit my mom tonight during dinner while she said the blessing.
