AdBlock Web Browser $0.99 (for general Web browsing...too bad it doesn't have tabs)
Opera Mini FREE (at least if you frequently use 3G and don't want to hit your data plan too hard)
Norton Snap FREE (to see whether those inscrutable QR codes are actually safe)
Splashtop Remote Desktop for iPad $2.99 (normally $19.99, great for remote control if you don't have a Windows PC with a proper Remote Desktop server...if you do, there are plenty of free RDP clients for iPad)
