I lost a pair at the beach once and promptly bought another pair because I missed them so much.

Buy expensive sunglasses but take care of them and you won't regret it. I wore cheap ones for a long time and I'll never go back.

For me, the worst part of expensive sunglasses is fear of leaving them somewhere.

Which has happened.

And is very discouraging toward any prospective future eye protecting endeavors.

My coworker has these and let me wear them for a few days:

Between the color and the very well done polarization, they make you almost feel like you're seeing for the first time (leaves on trees, people, cars all look noticeably different in a good way).

To recommend sunglasses, people really need to know more about your facial structure and what you look like. So to be helpful, I took the liberty of finding a recent photo of you from your Facebook profile:

While 'overdone', or whatever you want to call it, I still think these are incredibly flatting on most all face types. Ive got a pair in the tortoise color (though they make tons of frame/lens combinations) and like them a lot. I too am white, nerdy and despise large sunglasses but didnt quite want a dad pair of sunglasses that looked like tinted eyeglasses. These fit my face well, look decent and dont make me look toooooooo douchey (YMMV) like a lot of todays sunglasses will.

my problem is i have extremely light-sensitive eyes. even when i am wearing my sunglasses, i sometimes have to squint. as such, i require my sunglasses to have a pretty close fit to my face so that as little sunlight as possible gets through

fortunately, i found a pair that works well for me. here is a recent photograph

We are probably going to hit up the Sunglasses Hut buy one get one free tomorrow. I have been wanting the polarized version of these for a while but the prices stays an outrageous $169 and I cannot bring myself to ever spend that much on accessories.

I am hoping to get a pair of aviators because those actually look amazing on me....who would have thunk it.

I just got a pair of Costas while at the beach. I like them a lot, but I prefer my Maui Jim sunglasses if it is really sunny. Their Evolution lens is really good, but if you have trouble with bright light the glass lens is the only way to go. They are amazing!
