POP QUIZ: How many times can you stab someone and still claim self defense?

The defense opened with "did you kill Travis Alexander" to which she responded "yes because he attacked me."

The claim by the defense at this point seems to that she was justified because:
a) she was supposedly attacked by Alexander, for which I have seen no evidence (and this is coming from a serial liar)
b) she was spanked as a child
c) they had, *gasp*, anal sex... so clearly Alexander was a pervert and had it coming

This whole trial is beyond bizarre. Apparently, at one point she was dating an admitted "Vampire Hunter." She met Alexander at a Prepaid Legal conference. He was a Mormon elder, so at some point he baptized her, then had anal sex with her hours later.

I think they're trying to develop a picture of someone who was questionable, and expand this to him being violent and therefore that he could have attacked her, so she can use the self defense argument.

He liked sex -> he liked perverted sex -> he liked violent sex -> he was violent -> he attacked her -> she's innocent.

Not saying any of its true, just that I don't think the defense is as simple as "he like sex, deserved to die".

Yea, when I see any evidence to support the last 4 claims I'll believe it. So far all the physical evidence I have seen directly contradicts her claims and in fact she's left with having to say she was constantly lying to Alexander (but I suppose spontaneously decided to come clean to a jury).

Also, just to be clear: they haven't shown any evidence whatsoever that he was a pedophile. They played a 45 minute phone sex recording made a month before the dude was killed and in the course of going over several of their sexual fantasies, it wasn't mentioned one bit. Anyway, not sure what connection that would have to him being violent but whatevs.

I've learned more about the gun, which was the same caliber as the murder weapon.

It was stolen from her grandparent's house a week before the murder. Guess where Arias was living at the time? At her grandparent's house. Also, even though her current story is that the gun came from Alexander's closet, no one knew he had a gun whatsoever AND she told investigators he did not have one.
