That would be one of the aircraft known as Air Force One when it flies the President.

Doing touch-and-go's yesterday and today at Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport.

Taken with a Canon EOS Rebel XSi with a 75-300mm lens and UV and Polarizer.

I live in Kiln Creek in Newport News. The airport is in my back & front yards.

Great catch.

AF-1 and Antonov AN-225 are the 2 aircraft I hope to capture a pic of sometime.
Some of my unique aircraft captures from the past at KRDU (http://flic.kr/s/aHsjsU4ZaH).

^^pilots probably practicing. There are multiple planes painted that way so that there's never any downtime. The AF1 designation is only given when the President is on board. Makes sense that the military has better things to use their runways for and makes the AF1 crew go practice somewhere else.

Had the President been on it, I wouldn't have titled the thread "VC-25A," and I wouldn't have said:

Pilots got to stay qualified, to include night landings, day landing, refueling, weapons systems etc (I'm saying pilots in general, to my knowledge AF-1 does not have weapons )

Although fuck trying to sleep when jets are doing touch and go's all day and your room is within a couple hundred yards from the runway.

^^^ You get used to it.

Shit, try sleeping on a carrier right underneath the cat during a deck cycle, hahaha.

I never understood why officer country was right below the flight deck below the cats. I hated sleeping on the 2nd deck frame 235 having to listen to them slam into the flight deck, I couldnt imagine having to hear that cat slam all the time...eek!

not sure...I'm Marine, not Navy. Maybe to keep the quarters close to the ready rooms and stuff?
