Don't get me wrong, I still love Outback 'cause it's not crazy expensive and still a decent steak.

It's just not what it used to be.

Plus ever since I started working out and watching what I eat etc... it's hard to go there and find something decent without giving yourself a heart attack. haha (Lookin at YOU you delicious Bloomin Onion)

usually you can ask to get the vegetables and potatoes plain at any restaurant.

of course, if i'm going out to order a plain potato and veggies i'd probably save some $ and make it myself

just order double broccoli or double green beans and a salad with balsamic, then chow down on your steak/chicken.

if you are worried about eating healthy when you go to outback, then you go out to eat entirely too much.

I personally don't like to leave outback with the feeling that I need to lay down and let the insulin coma subside.

We have this girl with like 500 food allergies in our "group" that usually goes out, and she fucks everything up. "No, its got peanuts in it! WAIT..is that gluten free? Are you SURE this doesn't have dairy?" It gets to the point where its almost not even fun anymore.

I like outback steakhouse quite a bit but i don't get steaks there because i can make a better one myself. I don't go there much because its a cesspool of rednecks and fat people.

part of the reason i like going to places like outback is that i enjoy being one of the smallest & least trashy looking women in the restaurant

i'm going to skip this whole page and point out that you need not trifle with the chick-fil-a spicy chicken because the biscuitville spicy chicken biscuit is "back" (make it permanent damn it )

I don't hate the CFA spicy chicken sammich, but overall if I want a spicy chicken sammich I'll get a regular CFA, then take the patty off the bun, put it in the empty wrapper bag, pour a container of buffalo sauce on it and shake it up.

Then I put it back on the bun and top with ranch.

I do that about 50% of my CFA visits, the other 50% I just put that honey roasted BBQ sauce on them, that stuff is amazing.

I hadnt had CFA in over a year (Closest is Boise, ID...I live in western WA) and I tried the Spicy sandwich with extra pickles and I liked it a lot. They don't have chicken joints over here, besides your occasional Popeyes or Churchs

I used to put Zaxbys as better than CFA, but I went there also while I was back home and its gone down the shitter in the last 5-6 years.

I just don't eat steak when I go out anymore unless its at a non-chain store. If I go out its for Mexican or Sushi or some Teriyaki.

Good place to get a mediocre steak.

Although they always cook it the way I want it, so no complaints here. For the price range, I'd give them a A-

I've never been to Outback without someone else paying for the meal. When the meal is free, I'm a bit less critical.

I'd never go there on my own bill--I don't really go out for steaks, it's so much more affordable (and tastier) to cook your own steaks. That tired excuse aside though, I will say that Outback is one of the only places that will give me a "very rare" steak when I ask for it. none of that medium rare bullshit.

The GF likes her steaks that way. She always asks the waitress if they could just walk it past the grill. I can't do it. Medium-rare for this guy.

I go there when we are meeting friends since it's one of the few places that does gluten free stuff reliably. Otherwise, I'll just have a frozen meal because I'm a cheap bastard.

Well Outback isn't Ruth's Chris, its not bad for what you get and what you get is the same no matter which Outback you go too; this in itself makes it pretty decent. My biggest gripe is that the amount of food (like shrimp skewers) has waned over the last 5 years but they still charge about the same.

I recently ate at Outback. Their side salad bowl has now turned into a slightly concave plate. Pretty soon you'll be able to get a piece of lettuce and a crouton as a side salad.

my family is Australian, they came to visit us 9 years ago, they requested that we eat at outback so they could see what they thought of australians. Then they pestered the waiters by asking facts about australia, the cuisine, and animals. It was pretty funny

You wanna know a place that's really gone downhill? Fucking red lobster man. They used to have a nice array of yummy seafood, now it's all greasy and bland. I'll be ok if I never step in one again. Only good thing is those dam biscuits.

^ Agreed. I recently went to Red Lobster because I had gotten a gift card from a coworker. The shrimp was literally dripping with grease, and both me and the GF got sick that night. I e-mailed the GM of the location to tell him about it. He offered me another gift card, I declined.

Outback, Olive Garden, Red Lobster are all in the same boat for me.

I'm sure that none of these are new developments, but I have only have the "treat" of eating at an olive garden and an outback recently. Both were terrible and felt like they were watering themselves down to fast food sitdown.

I'm sure Bonefish isn't far behind.

^^^ when I go to Red Lobster I just order a water and eat enough biscuits to get full, then leave before they ask me about my entree

i don't understand why people in this part of the world go to red lobster when there are buttloads of better seafood restaurants around.

Also include Olive Garden and Outback in that statement for being able to find better Italian and Steakhouses

Can you name some of the boatloads of Seafood restraunts around? I can't really think of many except the few other chains: Bonefish, McCormick & Schmidt...Shuckers, ....Captain Stanley's

Or just chains in general...go someplace local. The food and environment is always better.
