the western-most border of that map should be I-95

[Edited on January 17, 2012 at 11:31 PM. Reason : but i'm glad to see they took you all the way down to dudley to eat at Grady's. worth it imo]

because parker's bbq isn't really anything special

[Edited on January 17, 2012 at 11:35 PM. Reason : but wilber's made the map and it's shit]

[Edited on January 17, 2012 at 11:37 PM. Reason : adam's roadside, ken's grill, stonewall's. those are worthy of a spot on this map.]

I grew up going to Fuzzy's. It's nice to have good BBQ a few miles from home.
I need to go to more of the places on the list though.

for my money, in Lexington the best spots are the less traveled off the main drag.

Cooks back in the woods is great.

Kepleys in HP is a mainstay but the food has dropped off a good deal over the last 10~15 years.

I grew up in Lexington, and I live in Ayden now. I'd love to follow the whole trail. I've been to more than half the spots listed already.

I've lived in Greenville for like 4 years now and have yet to go to B's. I usually just hit up Parkers because it's convenient and not terrible.

I've had Pete Jones' a handful of times and it's nothing really to scream about.

I try to visit a new one every time I go West of Raleigh. Although I'm much more of an eastern fan, I liked the places I've been west of Raleigh, particularly the one in Statesville.

the trail is heavily biased towards the western style imo

i just cant justify a stop in Chapel Hill and not Raleigh, if you're going to go that far west then the two cities should be included, not just one

I don't know. I've heard Allen and Sons is supposed to be great. Not that I would know. Every time I've tried to go they've been closed for one reason or another.

Fuck Western BBQ - that crap doesn't even deserve to be called barbecue. Also Jack Cobb's is delicious.

if you think wilber's is good, you probably haven't been there in the past 5 or so years or you just have never had really good eastern nc bbq

Just had some authentic western style for the first time today. I must say it is better than any eastern style I have ever had. Which style does The Pit serve? I hear the food is decent, but a bit overpriced. Overrated or not?
