^^I was wondering the same... was it a threat to jesse or about mike?

Also, I liked how Walt manipulated jesse into breaking it off with his girlfriend.

Not the best episode for sure. I'm getting tired of writers not knowing what to do with women in movies and TV shows.

I took it as a threat to Mike. Mike is really trying to "run the business" and Walt, with his ego, doesn't like that. Mike, like to dude Gus cut, is over stepping his boundaries.

For those bitching and moaning about lack of action and Skylar and Marie getting some air time, you do remember this is a drama right? It's not an action flick, it's not a comedy. The show is built around anticipation, that's what has made it so great for 5 years, so quit calling for the writers to blow their wad three episodes into their last season for christ's sake.

[/soap box]

I loved the episode, it was the funniest of the season so far. The whole pest fumigation thing is hilarious. I''m glad Marie is back in the story, she just adds this air of uncertainty, an x-factor if you will. I don't know what to make of the last two minutes of the episode. Usually they start the show with something that makes you curious, this time they ended it on a curious note, that was pretty neat.

This show is not beyond criticism. I love the slow boil but I'm tired of the repressed house wife trope.

Looks like those waiting for something big to happen get their wish next episode, that's how I took that anyways.

I wanna start taking bets on who kills Walt, can I get a five spot on cancer?

I heard someone suggest the last shot of Breaking Bad should involve Jessie's roomba banging against Walt's dead corpse and changing course. That would be awesome.

so what was the significance of that last scene where walt's gift watch just tick-tick-ticks? symbolizing "time running out" or alluding to the possibility of a bomb tick or was it just a meaningless outro mechanism?

^ if nothing else, it's the last season so "time running out" is as good as anything else

also, i thought the last "tick" sound like a gun being cocked back, but i'm probably reading into it too much

^^ that would be awesome.

^^ Also the line from Mike in a previous ep: Walt is just a ticking time bomb, tick tick tick and he doesn't want to be anywhere near him when it goes off.

What happened to the good heists where they lock security guards in protapotties!?!? This was tense, but the general idea of "let's rob a train with the ole broken down truck on the tracks trick" was lacking.

Overall I'd call this an average episode.

I think all the comedic relief has been transferred to Mike's one liners.

I agree that the scene with Hank and the bug will pay dividends. Typically, if this show takes time to focus on it, there is follow up. Hank saw him hold the photo so it should be pretty clear who did what.

Do you guys think Todd would have killed the kid had Walt not stated "No one but us..."

Hard to tell, they haven't really developed that character enough to know whether it was loyalty or just his own actions.
