Thinking of getting some tix for me and my dad for the 600 in May. Where's the best place to sit? Never been to a left-turn palooza before 1/28/2012 3:20:07 PM

First rule of Lowe's Motor Speedway: It's called Charlotte Motor Speedway again. Naming rights expired and were not renewed.
Also, it's in Concord. 1/28/2012 3:28:22 PM

When I used to go, I enjoyed sitting in Turn 1/2 under the condos....makes the sun/rain less of a problem. The only thing is you can't see much of what happens on pit road.
Consider saving your money and taking him to the NHRA event in April. After attending a couple events, it is where I would rather spend my time and money. They put on a great show. 1/28/2012 3:36:24 PM

You should try to sit next to the person the track was named after

It's an oval. How different could it be?

lots of folks like sitting on the front straightaway, but i prefer to sit just in turn 1. you can still see them coming off pit road, but you can see all of the front straight and 1 and 2 great and you can see them going down most of the back straight too. turn 4 is also a good spot to sit. i sat in turn 2 once as well, but the race was rained out and i couldn't go back the next day. from what i could tell, those probably would've been good seats too. 1/28/2012 4:34:42 PM

Turn 2 stands are no longer there.
Just don't sit down too low or you can't see the other side of the track. I made that mistake last year when I went to the Nationwide Series race in may. 1/28/2012 5:35:26 PM
