hey guys,
the background is this:
it's been years since i've built any websites for profit, since these days i usually only take on projects dealing with hardware/networks/physical topo/whatever.
i will have a little time to knock this site out, but i'm wondering about something. i think the guy is interested in paying extra to get some SEO going on until his site gets more buzz from live shows planned in the spring and fall (he's a music producer or something).
the question is this:
i've only barely worked with optimization , and it's not an area where I want to focus my spare time, because i doubt i'll use it ever again -- so i have no problem subbing out that work for even money or whatever. i heard about orangesoda.com, and i'm wondering if anyone else has used it. i figure if i use them, i'll just set him up with 3 months through orangesoda, and transfer the account information to him when he pays me the final payment on his site... and let him decide from there.
i'm just wondering if that 3 months might be a waste to buy.
please give advice on any seo marketing firm you've used, orangesoda in particular. they came as a recommendation from someone i trust, i've just not heard of them
thanks 2/7/2012 9:30:10 PM |

I'm not sure how complicated the site is, but if it's simple you could just apply the principles of SEO yourself and be done with it... 2/8/2012 2:21:24 AM |

That's not a very helpful thing to say. That's like telling some dude who needs a bodyguard, "I don't know how tough your enemies are, but you could just apply the principles of aikido yourself and be done with it." 2/8/2012 6:39:25 AM |

In short: I don't think it pays to pay for SEO. 2/8/2012 6:42:13 AM |

SEO firms are snake oil salesmen, it's all a scam.
My company briefly worked with Triad SEM. They were horrible and unprofessional and knew nothing other than link sharing bullshit.
