just heard about this new P2P that promotes itself as being impossible to take down. any truth to this? you guys know if it really is a viable alternative to all the file-sharing sites being shut down?

It's a BitTorrent client, so like all BitTorrent clients it is indeed a viable alternative to cyberlockers.

Well to be fair it does come with its own integrated media-player

and more importantly a keyword-search feature: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Tribler

p2p on ipv4 is generally "untracked" due to isp's lacking give-a-fuck

theres no such thing as untrackable p2p. it basically comes down to: are you using enough bandwidth to piss off your ISP? if no then they dont give a fuck.

http://it.slashdot.org/story/12/03/04/0510229/anonymous-decentralized-and-uncensored-file-sharing-is-booming points to this http://retroshare.sourceforge.net/[/link].

Reminds me of when Napster went down and all TWW used Waste from Justin @ Nullsoft message_topic.aspx?topic=109049

I wouldn't mind using this prog, but I don't know anyone that I could use it with because I'm not going fishing for PGP's without somewhat knowing the owner of the PGP code if I use this Retroshare.
