for $80 you might be able to get a blow job and a thumb up the ass from a toothless crack head downtown..

I spent $50 on my pillow. After buying the $4 pillows all my life, this $50 pillow is the best thing that ever happened to me. I don't go anywhere without my pillow. But, $80 seems a bit excessive.

No, it was from Kohl's

Best damn pillow ever. I rolled into some fancy pants resort in Florida with my pillow last Labor Day, and that bellhop condescendingly said "we provide pillows here, miss." Idiot didn't understand how kick-ass this pillow is.

Brand is Sleep Innovations, not sure what the style is. Probably "classic" or "firm." I usually tend to prefer more firm. It's a foam pillow.

I, too, paid $50 for a pillow. It was from select comfort. Didn't come with a bj though.

I find it weird that the link in the original post doesn't have a pic of the actual pillow.

Like how much extra? Accessories could be the key selling point.

I was in a rich student's house a few months ago, and the cushion behind me on the sofa still had its label on.

It read:

"$189.33

Made in Italy"

I can see $80 for a pillow. After all, you rest your head on it every night.

$190 for a throw pillow/couch cushion is more than a little ridiculous though. I have a hard time justifying $15 for one of those.

I use poor people pillows. But my friend came over the other night with her fancy pants $30 pillow and now I kind of want one after testing it out.

My dad bought one of the Sobakawa pillows years ago (like mid 90s) and had to return it b/c it made so much noise when he would move

I think if you can sleep sitting in a chair with your face on a laptop you need a Red Bull, not an $80 pillow.

This really is sad. I don't get why people go soooo cheap on their bedding. You spend 1/3-1/2 of your life in bed, why not make it comfortable? I'm not in any way saying you have to have a $3000 mattress, but it should at least be more than $80.

Wait, so when you buy items in a shop, their prices are written in currencies of the countries of manufacture?

Nah, actually it said:

P.S. $80 is nothing for a pillow... those Tempurpedic pillows easily reach $150-200.

i think they were $99 for the bed ones but that was because I also bought a mattress from them, and then the one i bought for my couch was somewhere between $100 and $120.

bedding is one of the few things i don't mind spending money on. 1/3 of your life is spent sleeping so it's worth it to be comfortable.

I didn't like the tempurpedic pillows. my wife does, so now she has two.

I have no idea what pillow I sleep on. It came from brookstone I think, and was a gift. id guess i was probably $50.

I have a $120 tempurpedic pillow that I got for $30 on black friday. Its one of those curved models for the shape of your head and its by far the best thing to get a good nights sleep; don't matter what shitty bed you have, you will get a very restful sleep.

I would never pay 50 or 80 bucks for one, but right at 30 seemed like an awesome deal.
