This is one of the many reasons i deleted my facebook. I started going through and deleting people i never talked to, then i realized even my closest friends had people posting retaded shit on their walls over and over again. Realized i just used it too much and that the only real benefit was being able to message people that i didn't want to talk on the phone to. Not to mention the actual reasons i deleted mine.

Point is if you don't like what you're using it for, no one is forcing you to have one and you probably don't gain anything from it unless you run some kind of business or have some industry ties to it. Those of you who do like it, fine- not saying that facebook is bad. So don't get all mad

I have a fucking aunt (well ex-aunt by marriage) who constantly tags me in photos that aren't me... they are pictures promoting her son's (my cousin's) "filmography" business and this fucking "movie" he is making.

She also plasters my wall with "Go 'like' this page so and so to promote the "movie" my cousin is making.

I'm fucking sick of it but because I pretty much only use my phone to see facebook, I always forget to change the settings and now allow her to post on my wall [/fwp]

Facebook was ruined long before smartphones and long before they stopped requiring .edu. Just because you're in school doesn't mean you're not an idiot.

The only reason I haven't deleted my account is I have a couple of friends and family members who seem to have forgotten how to use email and/or the telephone. If it weren't for facebook I would never hear from them again. Still only end up logging in a couple of times a month.

Easier? Yes. Cheaper? No.

Half these ghetto and white trash types have never had a computer, let alone an internet connection. Mostly for cost based reasons.

Now, with the internet on every smart phone, they are able to have their internet mingled in with their phone plan for free, or a slight fee.
