Interesting. Survived a kidnapping attempt and a terrorist jumping on a caterpillar and running people over in a crowd, only to be shot by an off-duty IDF officer.

I'd do it again though. It's a beautiful place, with beautiful people. Not at all what people think it is. And the food is outstanding.

the other incident happened when i got into the wrong cab. long story short, don't ever get into a cab that's not a mercedes over there. the government provides/operates the cabs, and germany provides the government with the cabs (reparations from the holocaust, apparently)... so if you see a cab that's not a mercedes, nobody knows who the fuck is driving it, and whether they'll take you to your destination or not.

I lived in Raleigh for over 4 years so that obviously counts, but I 'lived' in Morehead City for a month, does that count?

I believe you are supposed to change your drivers license if your permanent address has changed, and it's been 2 months or more. I change the address on my drivers license any time my permanent address changes (which, despite my list, is never more than every two years).

Parents' jobs moved us around at first. Then I came to State from Charlotte. Then after college, I found a place away from campus. Eventually I had to move out to the North Raleigh area to shorten my commute. Then I moved in with roommates because my one bedroom started at $590 but after a couple of years was nearing $800.

I moved around a lot as a kid (until charlotte, NC) because my parents took new jobs in new cities. Moved to raleigh and norfolk for college and grad school, respectively. Moved to binghamton for work. Moved to bethesda when I transferred jobs.



Interesting side question: what do you guys think about relatioships as they relate to movinh among adults in our generation? I mean, the days are over (imo) where people stay in 1 place their entire life and settle down. Now, people move away and break up, I suppose.
This is probably a reason that people are starting families later these days.
