I totally thought the lead singer Nate reminded me of Freddie Mercury. I also find Nate very very attractive even though I do sometimes think he is gay as well.

I was thinking more Freddie Mercury by the way FM would push his voice til it broke at times and that is what this guy does too. The vocal range for sure but it is almost like Nate from Fun. is beating up his voice just like FM did. Also the showmanship...both are very flamboyant entertainers.

I have tickets to their Cat's Cradle concert on March 3rd.

I like them but really it's my girlfriend who wants to see them. And as much as I drag her to my indie shows that she hates, I figure I'd rather go see Fun. than some terrible hard rock band she likes.

Nate used to be the lead singer of one of my favourite bands - The Format. If you like fun. definitely check them out. Listen to "dog problems" - the whole album is fucking stellar.

I like both albums but the first one from several years back is better front to back even though this album had some great singles. If you enjoy Nate's vocals, I suggest you check out The Format. He put out 2 albums and a handful of EPs with them back in the early to mid 2000s before they formed fun. They were enjoyable and a little less poppy and polished with a similar flair. It's been crazy to see how fun. has blown up over the past few years.
